The beginning of the company dates back to 1974, when Ivan Lamovšek became an independent craftsman/freelancer/ entrepreneur. At the beginning, the main activity was focused on agriculture and forestry (livestock meters, chainsaws chains, chainsaw grinding machines, etc.), but with time it focused on the tools and production of small products (especially for the the electrical industry – various contacts, cable lugs) on presses.

After the breakup 7 disintegration of Yugoslavia, the market declined significantly, which had a decisive impact on our business. This triggered the development of a new cutting machine (RKA), which completely replaced the classic presses. With the bending cutting machine we got new possibilities for upgrading products that could not be done on classic presses. In 1991, for the first time at Celje International Trade Fair, we presented a cutting and bending machine that received the Gold Guild, the Celje Gold Plaque and the Chamber of Commerce Gold Plaque.

The big turning point of our activity was in 1997, when we founded the company PREKOV d.o.o Ltd., whose name is already known by several bigger Slovenian companies. Our work was again rewarded in 2002, when we received a golden guild for our product RKA5 at the Celje trade fair, which gave us a lot of new strength for the future.
